Jerry Lajoy, better
known as “Mungo” by friends, grew up in Palmer, MI before
making Negaunee his home. He was a member of Da Yoopers Traveling
Comedy Show for many years and brought smiles and laughter to many
an audience with his stage get-ups and natural comedic style.
He loved his large movie collection and also loved his music,
enjoying both with his home theater system. For those of us who
traveled with him on the road, his ability to describe the make,
model, year and engine size of any classic auto pointed out was
always impressive.
Seeing him pull up on his moped with a wide grin and necessities
heaping from a crate on the back always brought a smile to our faces.
Jerry was well known for being very loyal to his family and friends.
His glowing smiling and good nature will be greatly missed
and fondly remembered by all of us here.
