There's one thing we can
count on up here in the Northwoods and that's snow. From the end
of October to the end of March we're buried in the white stuff.
We Yoopers strap on our snow shoes, cross
country skies or jump on our snow machines and head for the hundreds
of miles of trails that take us through some of the most beautiful
wilderness in the world. Many vacationers
to our area will tell you how inexpensive it is to rent rooms, skies,
snow machines, toboggans, ice skates, canoes etc., and you'll also
hear them praise our excellent family restaurants with prices that
are very reasonable. |

| Our summers are filled
with things to do! Fish, swim, and
boat in one of our many lakes, visit our state parks and camp grounds
or enjoy our hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails. You photographers
and bird watchers will find our world a veritable paradise. |
