Literally a "Spine Lizard," Spinosaurus was one of the largest of the carniverous dinosaurs. They are believed to have been semi-aquatic and lived on both land and water much like a modern crocodilians do. They lived in the Late Cretaceous Period, approximately 99-93.5 million years ago. Most Spinosaurus fossils come from fossil dumps in Morocco. |
