RED KING
Yooper Country & Bluegrass
The late-great Red King
was a one of a kind talent. His music transports the listener
to a time when country music was raw and untarnished by
rock influences. His lyrics cover everything from heartache,
politics, drinking, etc., all with a clever twist and a
touch of humor thrown in for good measure. You'll hear fiddle,
banjo, mandolin, twangy country electric guitar, clack snare
and Red's driving acoustic rhythm propelling each song into
a toe-tapping beat, along with his southern style vocals.
I enjoyed recording Mr. King and I also had the pleasure
of playing on his CD's. Fortunately for all, some of his
music will live on. I miss him dearly - Jim Bellmore

UPPER MICHIGAN HARD ROCK
It was my pleasure to
record a couple of Ishpeming, Michigan artists who go by
the name of Crank Shaft. Steward Harsilla and Kurtis Niemi's
music is reminiscent of much of the hard rock from the seventies
and eighties (AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Motor Head, etc). If
you take pleasure in listening to loud guitars, gutsy vocals
with attitude singing of beer and babes, loud pounding drums
and searing lead guitar, you'll enjoy this CD. - Jim Bellmore
